Oh sh1t, it means using my cree cape I keep telling spy1 that I don't like using it (looks too good to use) but he keeps giving me patterns that need cree (I'm sure he is doing it on purpose). No problem mate, give me a PM when you are next out and we'll make a day of it.

Just spent a pleasant afternoon with Bugsy and Spy1 on the Dee. Upstream wind put the fish down but the Don and his right hand man managed to winkle a few out. ;D

Otherwise they wouldn't have caught them ;D

Some pools, out of the wind fished today whereas anywhere in the open did not, that coolness in the wind makes a big difference at this time of the year, struggled with some moving fish on one glide though, back to the drawing board. Hey 'Bugsy' do you know anyone calling himself 'Jad' Spy1

Looks like you have all been enjoying the beauty of the Dee valley in it's Spring glory! Nice to hear you are all catching, even if some are "unmentionables" ;D I had another afternoon / evening on Mere Beck on Friday and managed 6, 2 small rainbows on small black dries, the other 4 caught on a weighted "gold head red tag" fished on a Di3. With it being so bright and sunny the fish were quite deep, and once I'd given up trying to tempt them off the top, and started searching the deeper water I started to catch at a quicker rate. Tango - congratulations on another grandchild! JAD - hope your mother is ok, I look forward to fishing with you! Bugsy & Spy1 - would also be nice to meet up and fish with you both over the coming weeks, if Heather allows Bugsy time off from baby duties!

You can get your own back when you show me how to cast with the double hander and have a good laugh at the same time

I remember Spy1 giving casting lessons when we were rained off on the Dee at the social in December, his casting was magical and effortless! You'll be in good hands JAD! However, I'll also take a ticket to see "JAD and the double hander" ! ;D Maybe the price of the ticket is to bring a bottle or a pack of beer! Has HQ got bunk beds ..........

River Dee up about four inches this morning in Corwen and carrying some colour. Dropping this evening and clearing, spoke to a Salmon Angler who had fished a middle beat this afternoon and seen five Salmon move through, they are on their way, yipee ;D 'Jad' take no notice of the posts about your escapade with the double hander, we will overcome all of it, soon. Thanks Moustique for the comment on the casting, the 'rod' only works in one way and the main problem some have is not allowing it to work ;D Spy 1
