Nice one Spy 1. I fished yesterday with my new Streamflex 10ft'er and managed some nice Grayling up to a pound and a half. Caught most on an orange gold head nymph on the point and gold head hares-ear on the dropper fished under a bite indicator JAD

I was going to fish today but the gale force winds and impending thunder storm put me off, I know, I'm a wimp. ;D
Fishing tomorrow though, rain, hail or shine. ;D

Christened the new Rod then 'Jad' ;D. There was a howling gale of wind with that heat today which kept me off the river until 8pm when it died down a little, I had five fish in quick succession with a 'Sun Fly' though about 8.30pm when they came on....all brownies, not a sign of a grayling, best going 12 inches.
Hope the wind stays away tomorrow.

Spy1, nice pictures above, and good to hear the brownies are active in the evening! Dare I ask what a "sun fly" is? JAD, I'm intrigued by this Streamflex rod that everyone's talking about, and must have a look at when we finally meet up! Catching out of season grayling is really naughty I thought you'd be after the first salmon on a Corwen beat? I had my money on you to catch one this weekend, but guess we need some extra water in the river, level is 472. Tango, don't forget your sun-cream and sun glasses otherwise you'll burn your face to a crisp!

Hi Barry. Yes we will meet up and do some fishing together in the near future and I look forward to it. At the moment my Mother is in hospital and she is now in Re-hab and will be coming out soon. So as soon every thing is OK my end we will arrange a date. As for catching Grayling out of season I was trying to catch brown trout but them silly Grayling kept taking my flies instead I did have a go with the Salmon rod but I'm afraid there was no Salmon daft enough to take my fly John

SPy69, items received, will get them back to you as soon as possible. Cheers Great Grandson (feck me I feel old when I type that) is 400 yds from Lords Walk on the Avon I'll have to get him on the waiting list for SDAC, he can take me as a guest then ;D Barry: Targeting grayling is naughty, the buggers latching hold of your fly when you are fishing for brownies is unavoidable. BTW, they were all in excellent condition, looks good for the coming season. Spy1, your secret is safe with me Bugsy, when are we having the head wetting gathering? I could do with a weekend of fishing and drinking, haven't had one for a while , Ireland doesn't count because it was midweek. ;D
