Hi As there seem to be a fair few of us within easy striking distance of the big smoke, i wondered if there was any interest in getting together for a pub outing (ie non fishing social), maybe pre Xmas? I know that this was something Chris thought about, but has been quiet on the matter. If there is any interest i am happy to co-ordinate Any thoughts? Rich

Or even closer to some decent transport links, Paddington or Marylebone, decent pub, great Thai food and smashing fish and chips for those watching there waist.
Mortlake is good pub but a little remote for a general commute, more dcentral you have a wider selection of tubes, buses and overground.
Any date before the 15th Dec and I will be up for it, well a beer or 2!

I'm in, would prefer somewhere I could drive to - again, Mortlake would be ok but not sure about public transport to and from there?

Needs to be near Public transport really so everyone can have a beer without having to drive home...
Depending on where we go for there are bound to be a good variety of Pubs nearby....
Which mainline stations would everyone go into?

Would Charing Cross area be convenient for most people who are interested? There are certainly more venues around there... Also what day of the week would people prefer? Friday?? Rich

Not December 16th :-).
Rich I suggest you pick a date, you'll never please everyone. Maybe not a Friday though, not too many of them left and popular Christmas party night.
Cheers

Its worth finding out how many people are interested first though...

Mondays are always a good night in London, because nobody does anything on Mondays. Anywhere within zone 1 would suit me.

Not a Friday for me either, and anywhere in the centre of town would be good.
