OK - Seems like there is enough interest in this...
How about Weds 14th Dec, starting somewhere on Villiers Street (next to Charing X) and moving on into Covent Garden, or surrounding?
(Monday night out makes the week tooooo long...)
Probably make sense if everyone feeds themselves beforehand... Otherwise we need exact numbers and will need to book pretty soon.

Beer! Might make that one, cx mainline station good for all? Chris, don't drink and drive, a ban could seriously damage your fishing! 14th good, name the bar(s)

OK How about meeting in "The Bell and Compass" on Villiers Street? Its easy enough to find www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=530260&y=180517&z=0&ar=YUsed to be 'The Griffin' for those who knew it (don't worry its been improved since then.) There are a couple of good places very nearby if we get bored of this ('Gordons' - but thats mostly wine so may not suit everyone OR 'Champagne Charlies' whcih is a Jamies Bar) Alternativley we could meet at Champagne Charlies? They allow you to book rooms.

Toby, wasn't considering drinking and driving - was under the impression it was going to be a couple of drinks and a meal perhaps. If this is going to turn in to something a little dirtier i.e. getting lashed then I'll book in somewhere.

It can be whatever you want it to be....
Champagne Charlies and Gordons are good for food...
Charing X isnt far from Waterloo so easy for you to Train to?
If you are booking in somewhere, let me know as i will be doing the same - work next day!!!

I've never found the food in Gordons to be that great. There's a curry place next door but half a dozen though...

Can I suggest 'De Hems' on Macclesfield Street. There is an upstairs bit where you can reserve an 'area'. They do good pub grub and have a very good selection of continental beers. If people want I will happily ring and book..its a dutch pub.
Just pick a date soonest.
