But who else will Morgan be sharing the sette with, Kismet may well make an appearance!!!
Please great Sahibs, excuse interruption from Sabu, Elephant Boy and one time Punkah Wallah to Sahib Boote - Shivacrazereeva.
Mention of Kismet brings back heart tugging memories of our Aya boxing ears of children whilst we listened to lovely tenor of District Officer Boote or as we called him, Mahseer Boote.
Us village boys have such mountain stream clear memories of our most auspicious D.O. Boote after a goodly amount of chota pegs (double whiskys in Raj Mess) , standing proudly on stage, legs akimbo, curly hair ( oh how our mesahibs sighed) spilling out the side of his red turban and belting out his "can't fail to nail 'em" party piece from Kismet - thus the prompt for this post from me, your most humle wallah. Here is what used to take us to Nirvana, Mahseer Boote, singing:
"Take my hand
I'm a stranger in paradise
All lost in a wonderland
A stranger in paradise
If I stand starry-eyed
That's a danger in paradise
For mortals who stand beside
An angel like you "
We were his vassals for another year. And so it went on until he left us. We have female tourists instead now, who come looking for him ...........We don't tell them that he is lost to us.
Where is Sahib Boote these days? I must regretfully admit that whenever there was a small camp situation (mmm) Sahib Boote was always at Tiffin and "could not be disturbed, even if the natives were throwing chapattis".
I hope that the real God Shiva has not sought his terrible revenge on Sahib Paul, although he deliberately has ignored my heartfelt advice and kept his false Shiva God avatar. I have sent him a PM warning him that he will be struck down when he least expects it, in one of his most regular daily routines, such as entering Kwiksave in venerable Slough .....
Sahib Boote, please send your countless followers a sign.....even if it's only a lyric from an old Fleetwod Mac number....
So are you coming for a beer or three
