Bugsy, please stop praying for rain, I've been trying to fix the Lightweight for 2 days but it's p1ssing down. Good excuse to tie flies though. ;D Forecast looks good for next week, clearing up with rising pressure. ;D F****D if i can tie droppers that won't snap (even tried doing dropper loops and splitting them), I have reverted back to seamless rings.

One Salmon hooked and lost by Clarkes on Monday (not by me), saw another couple splashing about there on Friday morning. Plenty of Grayling above and below the town bridge, had a very nice one in 18" of water by the island. Friday was dry fly day, they were mad for it, wouldn't take a bug. Loads of daddies everywhere but they wouldn't have one, caught mostly on cdc&elk. Couldn't get from the pool to the island on Friday due to a herd of cows and a bull crossing the river for lunch. Cows I don't mind, but when there's a bull with them it's a no no. Trout still absent without leave (never saw one).

I fished just below Corwen on Tuesday, there were certainly a few fish in the pools but I'm not sure how fresh they were.
I couldn't get a pull on the fly, weakened and went after grayling instead. Got a dozen or more on a team of three which was Red Tag, B&P, and a Flashback Nymph fished in the streamy water and found the grayling well up in the water - nothing much in the pools and glides and nothing above 35cms.
Gauge was 411 on the day and the weather warm sunny until around 16:00 when there was a bit of cloud cover.
