Contact your club secretary the dates are out and have been posted. Vennacher has been chosen as a semi -finals venue..........watch out if you fancy a drift near the shore pike anglers get pretty annoyed and watch out for low flying tobies.....Sana again amazes me.....

WE'LL be able to fish those yellow eyed boobies (sweetcorn). One of the reasons the international was taken away from Tryssfynedd? was because of bank anglers.
This must have been a popular venue that a lot of anglers asked for!!!!

I cannot understand why Vennacher would be included ( semi-final), A beautiful place it maybe but so is Loch Earn but I sure as hell wouldn't like to fish it in the National...... Is it just me being paranoid or does anyone else think palms could be crossed?. Why else especially on an untried water for poor quality stocked browns( yes i have fished it and had run-ins with pike anglers). They are trying to improve the place but surely this is far too early to use it for our national cmpetition. I wonder how many of the committee have actually fished it in recent years? also when I fished it ther were no signs of the natural stock which were such lovely fish just tailless cubes......

What was wrong with Loch Awe ,truly wild brown trout fishing and good enough to hold a world eliminator on. I wonder why the Venachar ?
