I had to go into Bristol this morning and stopped off at the Tanks as I literally need to drive past it. S ame story I'm glad to report ;D All the local Barrow Boys still bagging up from the corner of No3 I was there for ten minutes and saw three anglers land 3 fish. Most had 5 or 6 and this was only 11.00 a.m No guesses where I'll be tomorrow C.B

Gave the Tanks another go this morning for a few hours and bumped into 'Bristol Flyer' from here on the Forum. N ice to see another local 'Bristol Waters' angler on here No: 3 is still fishing O.K form 'Stockie Corner' allbeit a little slower than the last couple of days. I managed 6 in 4 hours. Mostly Barrow stockies but a nice Brown of 2lb + 4 fish coming to a deep black and green Buzzer under a bung. 2 fish to the Cat's Whisker on an Intermediate again and then later as the fish moved up a tad , I had 2 more on the middle dropper which was a small hot head Diawl Bach. The biggest surprise of the morning in one way was seeing Dev Strickley walking up the steps, cursing about Chew. When I saw himn I knew I was in the right place ;D He did offer an explanation though as to why the Bristol Water's catch returns appeared as they did but that's on another thread Cheers C.B

Jeez mate! ;D You've caught more from just the Tanks in the last week than I have from Chew and Blagdon all season! I expect the weekend will see a 'mini social' of local forum members all crowed around 'stocky corner' on No.3 ;D ;D ;D I'm glad to hear that even Dev is struggling at Chew. That makes me feel a lot better. Allrounder ;D

Nice to meet ''Countryboy'' yesterday and put a face to a name. Similar tactics to you with a team of Buzzers fished very deep, the fishing was very eratic after your departure. Fish woul feed for 10/15 mins then go off the boil. Took only two fish being stockie rainbows.
Stiil only the second trip out this year so not complaining.
May fish on saturday
Perhaps try Chew>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> :-/

Their similarly robust cousins are being stocked into Sutton Bingham right now One good thing about cold water seems to be very hard fighting fish ;D

HI Mark. I was amazed at how the Brownies snatched the Cat's Whisker. One of them really smashed into it I'll second that!! I popped along today for my first ever sesison at barrow tanks. I fished tank 3, on the left when your at the top of the steps. I started off with a goldhead on a 8ft leader. I cast to a rising fish that was close in, and the fish took it within 5 seconds. My second fish came to a 'home tied' green buzzer fished under a bung. It put up a great fight, even though it was les that 1.5lbs! The last fish was a Brown of about 2lb, It really did smash in to the 'home tied' green buzzer, and lept clear of the water a few times !! SO a great first session on the barrows, and i shall return. One thing i will say is that the fish eemed to sudenly all rise. There would be nothing, then 5 or so fish would rise almost at once! Trout
