Gold Head Hairs Ear....people always mention it and I have tried it many times without luck. Most sea trout flies also.

Candyfloss booby. Boys I fish with - last year in the comps etc lots - wallop trout on them, me, well, not a touch. Funny thing that.

Does anyone remember that old 'ollie kite' video where he wound a load of silver and gold wire round a bare hook and caught a brownie out of a pool that had tormented anglers for years? I tried that too,once. didnt work so resorted to maggots!

PTNs and GRHEs. I just gotta ask again - are you guys fishing those things on still or running water? I admit i only try em while nothing else has worked so not really a fair test as there was nothing doing anyway. What conditions you find best for ptn and grhe? How do you like to fish them?

my whole box!!!!! joke. ummmm....... got to be a buzzer. i havent cought properly on it in years. used to hit them non-stop on a buzzer but dont have any now only on a ptn or diawl bach, or any other nymph
