I am keen to come. Any location works for me and wales is kinda scenic cheers Jon (anyhow Ben, as we were just discussing, I will probably be bored of chalkstreams by the middle of the summer Saying that, Richards Beats on the Frome & Piddle are lightly fishing in the late summer and are more than big enough. The piddle will probably be too low though. You can easily get 2/3 people per beat on the frome, so that would bring the price down to £10 ish per day)

Hi All, This is the proposal. If you want to come PM me and I will fill out the list. I am suggesting a maximum of 16 rods. I haven’t heard back from Bugsy but I am keen to hold this event in Wales not having fished there before. The Dee is a bit of a trek for me so this event will be held on the Wye Usk Foundation waters with the intention of camping near to Builth Wells. The dates will be Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th of June. I will post in more detail this evening. If, in the meantime, you want to have a look at what is on offer have a peek here – www.wyeuskfoundation.org/description.htmIt won’t be expensive. From my initial searching I don’t think that the trout fishing will be more than £15/day. The campsite will probably be £5/night. I want to get cracking on this ASAP as some of the waters will require booking and I would like to make these bookings in the near future. Please be aware that there will not be fishing ‘on the doorstep’ and some driving will be unavoidable. 1 Ben Wynde 2 T.P. 3 JayP 4 FlyBri 5 westcountryboy 6 tigermoth 7 seaweed 8 Pond321 9 jamiet 10 IanS 11 Steve W 12 davidarmes 13 ACW 14 The boy 15 Sewinman 16 Sagefly 17 Cocktail Cabinet 18 fluffchucka 19 tda 20 underwood Cheers, Ben

Ben
I'd love to come.
Also, there's a few of us going over to Builth in a couple of weekends. We have a speaker from the Wye & Usk foundation. If you need us to find anything out etc. then we have the right person to talk to.
Cheers
Jo
P.S. Although it's further away (from the Wye) there is a campsite in Crickhowell right by the river (Usk). I'd be happy to help out with organising that and food etc. for the evening.

I have now found a campsite that appears to meet our needs, i.e. it is cheap and near to the fishing on the Wye. In addition to the main beats there appear to be plenty of the roving beats within striking distance. From their website they appear to be strong supporters of the Foundation and they even sell the vouchers required to access the roving beats. www.fforestfields.co.uk/Cheers, Ben

Ben, please add me to the list if there is still room. I will be fishing Richards beats on Frome & Piddle all year so I will look forward to a change and the challenge. Probably be more of a physical challenge as most of the roving beats look like tough terrain. I fished a couple of the foundations booking office Usk beats last year and really enjoyed it so would look forward to another trip to Wales.
Cheers.........Ian
