Took my son out today fly-fishing for the first time. He turned 4 last week. Went to a small feeder stream, he had a ball. One smolt and a Brownie about half a pound. I just cast it out, he did the rest. A great day. "Pass the TCR Dad, i don't like this one" ;D "Right, mend it, then let it drift round". "I think its about 10LB Dad, get the net"!! "Don't think we'll need the net" "This place is crap Dad, anything bigger in here"?? "Wow..this ones at least 8lb Dad...bugger, its a Vodka bottle"

He certainly looked pleased, and so he should. Well done. I see he is chilling the Vodka for the celebratory drink (bottom of last pic just above the stone )

Tempted my son to the bank aged 6 and he has never come back. He landed 2 rainbows and thought it was not for him. He confidently states that he will have enough children that at least one of them will want to fish with grandad. He's fifteen for god's sake!!
Piscator
Envious or what my son just did not take to it. Having said that he plays a mean jazz piano!!

Having a hard time with this one, on the one hand great pictures of an obviously very happy little boy, on the other rrw35 has a son - quick someone call social services! ;D
Wish I'd started at that age!

Ryan, TP was kind.
I couldn't decide which was more surprising - the thought of you as a father or that he looks such a well behaved little chap ;D
