I urge you to resolve your differences......it's vital for continued success. If you disregard my advice....I would remind you of the current plight of the Welsh Rugby Team. Well said Bugsy Are you taking note allberto? Oz

I know they are still putting other team's out of the competition, but,I believe they do put any winnings to charity.

Jeez, some folks need to go back and understand the history of SANA.
When Snaca, who ran competitions in Scotland, amalgamated ( late 80`s) with the other 2 organisations involved in the angling scene in Scotland to become SANA, the other organisations involved were wary that the competition set up would run away with all the monies.
It was written into the constitution that the competitions section of SANA was to be self financing, ergo the reason for the seperate accounts.
No other Committee under the umbrella of SANA, e.g Coaching have this self financing clause put in their remit.
The Scottish Club Championship was incorporated into SANA and is run by the committee for that competition as is the rivers also run by a sub committie.
I wish all the members of SANA would remember that all the money held by the competion section is there mainly from the section members, who incidently also pay all other dues to SANA main body that everyone else does.
You dont like the way any of the sections work, get in there and do something about it.
It is a disgrace how few clubs attend the AGM`s. The ones who do attend can get their agenda`s into play with no problem because all the grass root members will not take a day to go and make themselves heard.
They prefer to sit and moan about all the wrongs in forums like this.
No individual is bigger than the sport but as individuals we can make ourselves heardat the AGM.

This post has now become a diatribe, I am not a fool, and I am not a director or committee member of either body. We agree on the relationship of both organisations. If you believe that people who serve on these bodies are twats and corrupt (I find this attitude and wording appalling and unnecessary) then do something about it, get involved and make changes. Enjoy your fishing Alberto, Let's not forget that corruption doesn't have to be on the scale of the Enron scandal to constitute corruption. The first time a decision is taken to change the qualification criteria to the latter stages of a competition and the biggest benefactors are committee members - that's corruption! Whenever dates are arranged to suit committee members - that's corruption! Whenever a committee member's wife travels to a competition and eats so much as a breakfast paid by SANA - that's corruption! The first time a secretary of an associated club asks for something to be raised at the AGM within the prescribed time limit and it isn't without so much as a buy-your-leave -that's corruption! The first time an official doesn't apply the rules on fly size with equity, where one member gets banned and another gets a warning - that's corruption I could go on. The first time a committee member gets so drunk at a competition that he has to be carried to bed, or left in the corridor of a hotel - that's bringing the organisation into disrepute, and an insult to the team who have worked so hard to get there. The first time the team turns up to the world championships without a Saltire (because nobody had thought of it) and some committee member gets a local seamstress to run one up, but instead of a white cross on a blue background, they get a blue cross on a white background - that's testament to the standard of the committee and an insult to the team who have worked so hard to get there. You are absolutely right this does sound like a diatribe - as you put it - so I will shut up now. northdeeps

As a trout fisherman with more than 30 years experience, I asked a question, on how you qualify to fish for Scotland? To which I never got to know yet the procedure. If anyone at a later date comes across this post please dont answer because your normal run of fisherman would not want to represent their country if the past comments are true.
