Did not manage a session on Friday as I was out boozing. Went down on Saturday for a couple of hours. Fished downstream from the hatchgate. Found 2 fish rising but again they were HYPER selective. I spooked one after covering him with about 10 different flies. I tried a number of flies on the next one. It ignored them all until I put on a small green olive, but it hit that one straightaway........and I missed it! Rested the fish for couple of minutes and then it hit the fly straight away on the very next cast. About 9" - 10" of Wild brownie. I went home happy. Was up at the RTSNBN on Sun - 8 or so brownies up to 1lb and 2 grayling up to 1.5lb. One of the brownies had no spots - it was coloured almost like a tench. Odd. Saw 2 Mayflies........and another one this morning whilst walking to work......

Went out last night and the weather eased up a little ( even had some sunshine)
Much was hatching ( including some big yellow mayflies I think )
I managed a few but I can't help but feel that these fish are very spooky . That or I am using the wrong flies.

I've saved this thread onto a USB drive by cut-n-pasting it into a word doc - can someone else do the same with the 2005 thread?
I'd hate to be Richardw right now...
