I hear 2 salmon were caught on fly at Rhaggat last Friday. I'm in sea trout mode at present - I'll wait for a small flood before chasing the salmon!

Apologies for the delay of this report, but fished the Junction Beat on the 2nd July. Took several Browns and Grayling....some huge Grayling. However, the other rod caught a 4lb Grayling....yes, 4lb, on a Salmon fly. The majority of my fish came to a dry fished in 2ft of water ;D The photo?.......Berwyn Arms Beat off the Corwen and District Angling Club website Bugsy

Water was up to 630 this morning, now down to 554. What's the chance of a few fish tomorrow? Or should I leave it until Monday?

Water was up to 630 this morning, now down to 554. What's the chance of a few fish tomorrow? Or should I leave it until Monday? You'll be fine tomorrow.......the Upper Dee hasn't risen at all. They've 'stopped tap' at Bala.......remember, the readings are taken at Chester. There are several unregulated rivers downstream of Corwen which influence the height at Chester. Go for it mate...........would join you, but I'm at Brenig Good luck and let me know how you get on. Bugsy

Cheers, meant to say the Longreach stretch/beat. Got my eye on the Junction beat for some serious shivering. Who in their right mind would wade in the winter?

Town bridge nothing rising, got brownie about 1lb on bugs. Worked down to sewage works, plenty of small trout and grayling and **** loads of salmon parr. Went to find Tyfos stretch, got lost. Fished Branas stretch for an hour, nothing rising, caught nothing, only saw the one fish rising by the bridge and couldn't tempt it. Those felt soled shoes are much better, didn't try and drown myself yesterday.

Fishing the Tyfos beat next week(Mon-Thur), any tips/do's/don'ts? May even try the beat above the town bridge, might get dizzy though as I've only fished below it before.
