Any particular reason for bank fishing on saturday?

Chris. That's bloody amazing ;D You're a star. How you managed to get every boat on Blagdon booked the week after opening is beyond me Bristol Water won't know what hit 'em ;D Can you put me down for: Friday Boat & Sunday boat please. Bank tickets were £15.50 this year but I don't think they've released next seasons prices yet. Well done Mate C.B

Dave - some people wanted the bank fishing option - it also gives a nice break to 3 days on a boat. I'd imagine early season the bank fishing will be excellent. If not then Countryboy enjoys making his cups of tea and coffee for the bank anglers.
CB - managed to sweet talk my way in to it! I'm sure they'll enjoy this bunch of reprobates turning up! Can you PM me and let me know what season ticket holders do about boat fishing please.
Cheers,
Chris

I may come down for one of the days ( bank fishing ) to see what the fuss about this trout fishing is. I'll probably have to blag some gear though as I only have salty stuff. How much notice will I need to give or should I be able to just show up on the day as I don't want a boat space?

Only two days of boat fishing drastically reduces my chances of having Martha to myself for the day!

Martin, to be honest you could in theory just turn up as you don't need a boat.
I've got enough spare gear you can use and I'm sure between everyone else there will be no shortage of it.

Any particular reason for bank fishing on saturday? The original idea was to fish the bank on at least one day because it would be more sociable, you could wander along and chat or drink tea etc with other members, all boat fishing takes this element out of it because you don't tend to see much, if anything, of the others except of course your boat partner.

Friday saturday and sunday for me... I'll boat it on Friday thanks. Sunday I'll slink off early so bank fish.
Yes I'll camp. Fire is always a good plan. Sure we could do somethin' with a barrel barbie or knock a brazier up out of a galvanised bin? Guitar? Ging gang got to go that way ghost... great plan.
MJB, sure we'll all have heaps of gear... I'll probably use the 8wt from the bank anyways myself.

All three days for me, Would rather a Boat on the Friday and Sunday, don't mind who I share a boat with, If anyone wants to share with me . Will get payment sorted once you know the exact price. Of course I'll camp too. Am thinking I'll maybe knock up a big barbie out of a 40 gallon drum whuch could double up as a fire later on, Not a definate yet though, see what other ideas there are first. Just an idea is there a plan to block book electric engines too? or shall we sort this out individually nearer the time? Paul.
