Hi Guys, Looking to fish the Scottish Rivers more in the coming year. I've fished the Earn a few times in the winter for Grayling with limited success but never anywhere/anytime outside of this. Would appreciate anyone willing to let a dyed-in-the-wool stillwater angler tag along with them. Willing to travel anywhere within a 100 mile radius of West Lothian.

Dougie..I will be fishing the Fife Eden when I get the chance. Can't say I am any kind of expert but you are very welcome. If you are going elsewhere give me a shout. I work offshore so there is always a possibility I will be around.

Interesting to hear a few more people who fish at Millhall. I had a few visits there last season and thought it was a great wee water. I live about 2 miles from it and never even knew that the place existed until recently ;D
Is there any good fishing on the river Avon nearby?

Hi Peekers,
I live about 10 mins drive away from Millhall and am there almost every week during the season - cracking wee reservoir. Just big enough to be interesting!
If you ask around at the Fishery, most of the guys there have had some experience of the Avon - most of it very positive. It will certainly be on my radar for this year!
Dougie.

The River Almond, Edinburgh is worth a try during the summer for sea trout, and brownies. Hit it right in the Autumn and there is a chance of a Salmon, and it is cheap! F

Hi dougie,
I fish the river fillan at crianlarich. Nice little water where the better trout are crafty as hell. Best to fish it on an evening session into dusk. Trout range in size from half pound to 3/4 pound with ocassional 'biggy'-4lber last year. Most methods of fly take fish but during the day a bit of stealth is required. So you can tag with me for an evening when the nights are long and warm again. Oh joy
