Sojourn by my "new" bit of river on Saturday. As well as many birds and lots of fish making the day a joy, my delight was complete when a vole swam under my feet without noticing me. Now if I could just get the mandarin ducks to disregard my presence in a similar way... richard

Chained to my desk Warren reporting massive Hawthorn activity. Cannot get out to join in. Outside the weather is calm and sunny, a blackbird is singing his heart out. I just hope that it is not all over and done with by the time I can get out again on Saturday. Sometimes (only sometimes) it is torture being an angler... richard

Sure to be all over by Sunday, that's why I am out tomorrow. What a shame for you!

Lovely day in despite of the forecast. Okay everything was wet through but it had stopped raining by the time I started. Only difficulty was finishing the last hour off with a broken tip. Yes, I've done it again. My Mosquito is getting a bit like Caesar's Axe... richard

A super day's fishing on Sunday. Rather overcast and a little damp but the fish were still up for it, fish responding to double badger and LDO.
A couple of Mayfly were seen but no real hatch to speak of........yet !!
