G series 4/5# reel

Im going to need a reel to match the rod im after, seen one of these today, just thought id check to see what you guys think of it if anyone has any opinions on it.

Welshy, there's a sweet Teton by Tioga in the classifieds right now. It's 70 squidskies, but that includes a spare spool so actually that's a really good deal.

Don't worry about this being the 5/6. The 4/5 is too small, IMO, to hold a full 5 WT with enough backing. I have this exact reel and I think its an excellent reel for the price.

I have a Shakespeare Black Demon. I think it is model 2650. It is made in Korea and virtually the same as the Greys reel but without the disc drag, which you do not need on such a rod.(In my opinion, before someone gets excited) Generally a very good reel but you may find in the long term you may prefer the reel one size up.
