Apologies if this has been done before:
In the interest of promoting fair and reasonably unbiased tackle reviews, would it be outrageous of me to ask the members of this forum to declare their affiliations here?
There are a few I know. There are others I think I know based on their posts. Elementary my dear Watson.
At the very least this could turn into an entertaining witch hunt. Maybe we could call it "who do you THINK works for whom?"
BTW - I do not work in the fishing industry.

Do not work within the tackle trade, but do have a friend that has a tackle business and that also works as a consultant on the coarse tackle side. I prefer to keep fishing fun.

I don't work for any business associated with fishing.
RKT, if I may, I would also like to make the point that anyone who accepts money, goods, or services from the tackle trade works in the trade. It's no good for competition anglers to claim they don't wrork in the trade because they only accept free kit.

I work tirelessly for Ebay, buying tackle to try then selling it again to boost their profits - you shareholders shoudl be glad i exist
in a past life (20-12 years ago) i was a full time charter skipper for 8 years on the south coast.
6 years ago i helped out in the local fly shop for a few days
otherwise no affiliations - fishing for work is over-rated - fishing for fun is much more enjoyable.

I don't work for the tackle trade, and to be honest, i wouldnt like to mix buisness & pleasure with regards to flyfishing. Its my leisure pursuit and has been for 25 years and counting, to think i'd have to work hard and earn a living from it may take away some of the magic.

I am a professional fly-tyer. I don't plug my business on any of the BBs, but will help anyone who has difficulty sourcing copies of that last killing fly in their box, as a few here will verify.
