I like Orivus gear but never their rods and so use Loomis/Sage/Redington etc. However I'm hearing so many good things about the Zero G rods from trusted sources that I'm going to demo one soon.

I cast the 9ft for a 5 tip flex and was'nt impressed with it at all. The guy i was casting it with is an APGAI, and we both came to the same conclusions. Tip bounce, dead feeling in the hand and certainly not tip actioned as advertised. It had no WOW factor that you sometimes get when first trying a rod. He has since tried other models in the range and said they were better. You will find most rod ranges will have good and not so good rods within the range. If you buy from Orvis, you get first rate customer service from them.

Orvis have the best customer service in the world. I'd be very happy if they got their tackle to match. Haven't tried it but perhaps the Zero G will achieve that.
