Jan, It's a old stream fly, whilst not representing anything in particular is a good suggestive pattern. I do not do Step by Step,but maybe Alan B or Braveheart might oblige. For the uninitiated here is the dressing Hook: 12-14 Thread: black Body: peacock herl Wing: pale Partridge, Teal or Mallard breast feather tied forward over eye Hackle: red cock Tight Lines
