troutline, have been the last 3 years and back this. sorry mate but no trout fishing to be had. i assume you are going to orlando area. the lake at kissimmee has guided bass fishing but it isnt cheap. have lost the links but a google search for fishing charters kissimmee should provide you with info.
we have been lucky enough to have water beside the villas we have been using. my son has had big mouth bass to 13lb. my best was about 6. only bait fishing only becuase we didnt take fly gear. but nothing fights like a freshwater turtle. caught by accident last january 20 mins fight only to have the hook straighten as i tried to beach it.
wullie
ps if you fancy a drive there is a shop called the fly fisherman, cheap rods (loomis, st croix etc), lines etc but it is in downtown orlando. if you want address i will try and find it from my holiday junk.

I think we are beside a lake aswell hametied, so maybe it's worth a go, I actually didnt think there would be trout fishing but better to ask.
Imagine catching a turtlle!?! Who's going to save the world from Shredder if you keep catching the turtles?
If you can get me the name of the store it would be good mate! Thanks!

Hey Troutline, If you are over in Orlando you may fancy a day or two chasing Red fish and snook. Mosquito lagoon is a great place to do this - however you will need a flats boat and a guide. Last year Jamie and I fished the area and used this guide www.orlando-fishing.com/Tom is a great guide and worked really hard for us - there are some monsters in the lagoon, We both took 8wt Xi2's with us and they would do fine........ While in Orlando - don't forget to visit the Bass pro shop, this is a experience not to be missed if you are looking for bargains..................................... Regards Mike

we always stay in crescent lakes, off ponciana boulevard. the lakes are why we go there. disneyland isnt much of a rest! where are you staying troutline. the shop isnt far from the main road which goes through orlando downtown area (I4 i think). here is the link to thier website, but i cant get the site to work at the moment. www.flyfishermaninc.com/wullie p.s. set aside a good couple of hours for basspro. they have one of the fly dept boys tying on a saturday afternoon about 2 oclock i think.

pic of sons 13 pounder taken on a dead bluegill bait (a bit like a perch). taken infront of villa next door to the one we rented. i was standing almost at the waters edge. this years villa is a bit further back from the water allowing a decent cast with the fly gear. look out billy bigmouth!!!! wullie ps no matter how hard we tried, we couldnt get him to sing!!!!!!!!!! ;D
