Hello
I wander if anyone from the Isle of Man uses this site? We have some good waters here and was hoping that someone might fancy making a few bob out of me?
My distance is ok but my presentation is about as subtle as a stone being thrown through a pane of glass! You may have seen me up the Clypse & Kerrydoo making a right old splash.
Hasn't stopped me catching but I'm pretty sure I could catch more. I'm probably trying too hard.
An old boy once told me... "If you're trying to hard, you're not trying at all!" As time progresses, I'm starting to understand his logic but could really do with a push in the right direction.
Please help a friend in need.

Mo It sounds to me as if you are casting at the water rather than slightly above it. Try and allow the line and leader to straighten fully at about shoulder height and you should find your landings a little more delicate ! Mick

Funny you should mention that because a friend pointed this out to me. Maybe I should pay more attention in future.
He has a nice rod too.
Thanks for the tips m8
