I met, chris and paul, gohost, and a few others down at the rugmmor gate today. I was actualy fishing at the time, but notices Chris's flash new car.
I told them where they could set up there tents, so i think they have done that, and are of to the pub later. The biggest rain storm i have *EVER* seen commenced at about 7 o'clock it was lashing it down, definatly the most rain i have seen come down in 15 mins!
I caught a nice 'bow of 3lb 4oz on a yellow blob off pegs point. there were 2ft boiling waves, but it didn't put the fish off.........or me !

Here's your first Blagdon Social update. A good day was had by all but the fishing was pretty dire Quite a few of us blanked including myself It rained , it blew but we all had a great time ;D The guys are fishing the bank tomorrow and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't do better than from the boats today. Boats at this time of the year dobn't seem to give much of an advantage Just one thing I have to mention........... Ghost was freaked out ealrly this morning by a deer trying to get into his car ;D ;D More tomorrow as the reports come in. The camping field is a couple of hundred yards up from the Rugmoor entrance gate. Nighty night all I'm knackered ;D C.B

I tried a session from the bank this evening at Cheddar water but didn't get a pull Also dropped by to have a chat with the 'happy campers' and to leave them some cider to whet their whistles . They deserve it after the day they've had! Here's where they are staying and I take my hat off to all of them. Despite the excellent company, I'm not sure if I would like to be camping out tonight ... Rumour has it that Dipper had seven from a boat so they are out there to be caught Its the bank session tomorrow and I will be down again in the afternoon Allrounder ;D

It was pretty rough out there today , luckily for us my brother and I gave it a go tight into the bywash , small montana varients on intermediate giving me 4 brownies and two rainbows and three brownies for my brother .I think the campers will need a cider or two to get through the night under canvas . Good luck to anyone out tomorrow , forecast looks pretty good Dipper

Here's a couple more pics from 'The Field'. From left to right is: Chris, Chris Nicholls, Westcountryboy and Trout. The caption should read: " Maybe if we stare at the tent long enough, it'll put itself up"
