Until this month Sage had the guide spacings/sizings listed on their website for all of their models, sadly this has now gone. I have mailed them through the website 3 times so far, but have not yet received a response. Does anyone happen to have their recommendations for a Sage 690-4 XP? I should have written them down when they were there, but unfortunately never got round to it and am now regretting my idleness.

Thanks J,
I tried them already and they don't have anything for a 9' 6wt 4 piece Sage XP.
Mailed them and they were very helpful, but pointed out what I already knew about the Sage website. But they did offer me standard spacings and sizings for this size/weight, which was much appreciated but not what I was really looking for as I already had similar.
I was impressed to get such a detailed and helpful response though, which will ensure that I continue to buy from them.

According to my calculations, try this. If you want the first guide to be 4.5 inches from the tip :
Tip 0 1st 4 1/2 2nd 10 3rd 16 4th 22 1/2 5th 30 1/2 6th 38 1/2 7th 48 8th 58 9th 68 1/2 10th S 80 11th S 92 1/2
If you want it 4 inches from tip to first guide:
tip 0 inches 4 inches 9 inches 14 1/2 inches 20 1/2 inches 28 inches 35 1/2 inches 44 1/2 inches 54 inches 64 inches 75 inches 87 inches
Shoff tackle may also be able to help with sizes. But these spaces work out for 2 strippers, trying a 12 and a 10. Distances are from the tip. Variation can be made for position of joins and butt wraps on these.

I took these from the Sage website last year. These were the suggested spacings for both a 9' #4 SLT and a 9' #7 XP. The size of the rings being the only difference. No doubt your 6 weight would have been the same.
3 9/16 7 15/16 13 3/16 19 1/4 27 1/4 35 11/16 44 11/16 54 1/8 65 7/16 76 11/16

After my third email through their website, I just got a reply from Sage which included a pdf file with the guide spacings for all Sage XP blanks. Basically it is an extract from the pages that used to be available on the website. Anyway, I have posted it here in case it is of help to anyones else: www.broddick.plus.com/XP.pdf

That's wierd, it is transposing the URL What I am typing in is b-r-o-d-d-i-c-k and that's what I see, but when I submit it, it gets transposed to 'brodthingy'. The rest of the URL either side of this is correct. It does it in preview mode too. I have to type it as above to stop it getting transposed. Bizarre I'm new to the forum, so if anyone has seen similar and knows a workaround, please let me know.

it's not wierd it's the moderators software preventing rude words. It replaces them.

Ahhhhh.........that makes sense, thanks for the clarification. But I never knew the appartments I live in were named after a rude word Hopefully there is an exceptions file that can be updated accordingly, or else I will never be able to post anything else into these forums, as that is the only webspace that I have access to.
