I'm trying to get hold of a high quality Flour Grade full-wells handle that has been recessed to fit a Struble U15 reel seat.
I don't have the tools or skills to rebore a preformed handle or create from cork rings. So I was hoping I could buy it off the shelf or custom made for me. Guides and Blanks preformed full wells are bored too wide and I haven't had succes in Holland.
Any thoughts? Thanks

When you say G&B's are bored too wide, do you mean for the blank or the reel fitting ?

Hi Richard,
I've just fitted a U15 into a guidesnblanks full wells cork by adding a few turns of masking tape around the top end of the reel seat. Fits very nicely now. It is my first build so I'm not sure if there are any problems associated with doing it this way, but it seems to have worked fine.

To Silver Stoat: The cork is bored too wide for the reel inset.
To JohnK: (this is also my first build.) I considered this but I was a bit worried about any water seeping in, which I imagine would be a disaster.
Anyway I have found someone to bore me some Flour grade to the reel seat specs so that's sorted.
Thanks guys.
