Im planning on putting together my own rod. While waiting for bits to come from the States I want to scource some rod rings but they seem to cost a lot individually. Is there anywhere in the UK that sells complete sets i.e I tell them its for a 8"6 5wt and they send me all the bits I need? Thanks J

Give Steve Parton a call on 0115 9463 572, He sells everything you need; blanks, rings, rod tying thread, cork handles, etc.... His service is excellent and he will also give you advice if you get stuck. Have a look at the site for Harrions rods, there blanks are very good, and there is an excellent section on rod building, including spacing of the rings, etc. www.harrisonrods.co.uk/ www.harrisonrods.co.uk/rodbuilding.htm

Hi Mick, Do you also sell those artistic anodized reel seats (the multicoloured ones) you use on your saltwater rods ? And how much are they ?

the good thing about building rods is you can put what guides you want. So dont just settle for a set pick and mix your own.
