Bellinger Reel Seats have been in the business of making reel seats, bamboo rodmaking equipment, reels and hardware for 25 years. Never having any type of web presence we recently went live with a new website. Interesting enough over 10% of the traffic is from the UK. I invite you to check our website; www.genuinebellinger.com and provide any feedback you wish. I'm not trolling nor is this message intended to be spam, I'm just curious to determine if the interest in our products is from rodmakers or anglers. Thank You, Chet

Some beautiful looking reel seats Chet.
As far as I know we don't have any UK companies producing reel seats on a 'large scale'. There may be one or two makers who produce on a small scale (Shirley Maisey, Barry Grantham). Same goes for ferrules. Not supprised your getting interest from the UK.
I get the impression that a larger percentage of American anglers build and make their own rods.

I think that the cane rod thing may well grow a bit in the uk,as may carbon assembly now that retail prices are getting into the ether. Its all about individuality, most people would catch as many fish on a reasonably carefully selected bamboo cane, and all carbon rods tend to look like all other Asian sourced carbon rods. So the trend will be to more individuality, which is why, annoyingly ,our roads are blocked by huge pointless4/4s driven by brickies. Your(Chets) reel seats would help refine the plastic pole enormously, and be very smart on a heavier built cane job.

Tried some of your seats before, Chet and was very impressed. You used to make a seat for a 2 handed rod but I don't see one on your site now. Do you still make one ?
Best, Gnat.

The two handed seat we offered had a large bore that didn't fit well with the newer, more popular smaller diameter rods. We hope to update our two handed reel seat offering sometime this spring.

At this point we're not making any full cork reel seats. We have experimented with the concept but haven't found a way to improve, either cost or function, on the present method of producing a full cork seat.
