Hi Folks, I was fortunate today to be accompanied on the River Colne at Linthwaite by John Tyzack. I think we both really enjoyed ourselves and caught plenty of fish, if we were counting I think John managed about three fish to every one of mine, so it's a good job we weren't! So I thought I'd post a few photos- I like the Large Dark Olive stuck to the fish! And not to be out done one of mine . I had a great day and picked up loads of information and tips on how it should be done. You can check out John here - www.johntyzack.co.uk/And if anyone would like me to pass on some details of the fishing available on the river colne then please send me a PM. Cheers Mick

My view?
A cracking little river, full of wild trout and grayling. A brilliant day's fishing and club membership is open!!!
Get in touch with MickeyP if you're interested... My membership application is in the post.

To Confirm the pictures are of the River Colne in West Yorkshire. The Slaithwaite and District Angling club has fishing on the river up through the Colne Valley between Marsden and Milnsbridge (outskirts of Huddersfield) and like John says above membership is open, please pm me for details.
Cheers
Mick Pogson.
