I only ask because it is one entomological problem which always puzzles me - made especially difficult by the fact that on our rivers, we don't really have proper hatches of MBs anymore. If I saw one of those in my area, I would have said brook dun (slightly yellow fore-wing, no real blank spot in wing veins etc). However, because I can't be sure if I've ever actually seen a true MB, I've nothing to compare to, if you get my meaning.
I know this sort of thing doesn't help us in our fish catching efforts, but I don't know, they just sort of bug me!!
