For anyone visiting Cornwall this summer and looking for some fishing that's as close to wild as it's possible to get in a stocked fishery then Stithians is well worth a visit. Set in a moorland environment with its granite boulders and rocky shoreline it's more akin to a highland loch than the soft and gentle contours of a Rutland, Grafham etc. I admit I'm biased - it's where I started fly fishing in 1968 and I've just spent a happy couple of days there pretending to be 16 again!

Age and experience brings realistic expectations and the pursuit of comfort that bracken, bramble and gorse cannot satisfy.

"Do it till it hurts" just conjured up an image I'll try to forget thanks to that exchange.
The post started off so well too.
I blame Cothi.

Looks like a lovely bit of water, and a well composed shot. Glad the drive home got you some half decent fishing TT
