Thanks guys, I'll pass on your regards when she comes home from work. June loves the outdoors, that's why we visit Cyprus at this time of year. The wild flowers are fantastic and there are always some migrant birds to watch. Incidentally, we shared that swim with a kingfisher who took a fish within 20 feet of us then perched in a nearby bush to digest it. Last year, a little later on in the season, there were four species of heron feeding in that bay. Best two fish of the session were this mirror carp and a specimen channel catfish.....   Sadly, I blanked with the fly rod. After spending about five hours stalking the carp with all sorts of flies we went back a few days later and bagged up using sweetcorn on a light feeder rod. The large mouth bass wouldn't play either.  |
