Hi All
I'm getting into taking pictures of my own flies while they are being tied, and I'm finding that I need a three hands - two to tie the fly, and one to operate the shutter.
The obvious thing to use is a foot switch. I have a cable shutter release, but it's unsuitable for use as a foot switch. It's a bit too delicate to put it under a foot, and it has two 'levels' anyway - press to focus and press harder to fire.
Does anyone have a way of mounting such a switch as a foot switch ?
Any ideas gratefully received.
Thanks
Russ

How about using the self timer?

If the camera has an old fashioned screw in type shutter release you can get a rubber bulb type remote release.
If it has the electric type then you need to be able to cut and re-join the wires to a foot pedal taken from another device such as an enlarger.
