I have coming up for sale a Limited edition Hardy MLA 325 numbered reel new and with all papers, in the Champagne Gold (a sort of Greeny Gold). These are quite rare, only 250 made and are totally different in deign to all other Hardy reels, having a full through axle and sealed bearings, similar to an Abel.
Also an even rarer Sharpes prototype reel. These were starting to be made just as the company packed up and were bought by Masterline. It is the Worcestershire Fly version of the Sharpes Jubilee disc drag reel, in Sea Trout size. They were just starting at trying to produce a disc drag reel for Shakespeare. Lovely Brass reel foot and counterweight in a Pewter colour, huge line capacity with a 90 mm x 30 mm spool. One of the prettiest reels I have ever seen.
I am looking for realistic offers on both. I have seen the Hardy's sell in the US at £300 to £500 and the Sharpes is difficult as I bought it from a shop clearout, where the old owner had been given the reel as a demo', he then couldn't source any more supplies so kept it.
Contact me via my Email address in the profile thanks
