I have used these reels in the past, but I sold what I had as I was finding them rather heavy (10 ounces, empty, I believe).
My old Mackenzie -Philps catalogue quotes a line capacity of DT6F + 30yds of backing or a WF8F + 40 yds backing. In my experience, I managed a WF7F Snowbee (25yds) line + a SMALL amount of backing.
eBay prices vary quite considerably. A reel on its own with no original packaging or spare spools could bring anything in the £15-30 range.
Even though they are quite heavy reels the postage will only be £2-3 First Class recorded signed for.
I would guess a price of £20/25 incl P&P would be reasonable.
