Hi everybody, I am a Professional Guide from Zimbabwe - now living in Sweden...don't ask...
Anyway - myself and a friend are keen to go fish the Zambezi and are thinking about a trip in April. Obviously we are able to negotiate for better prices if we have a reasonable size group of fishermen to do the journey with. We are thinking to maybe do a week or so on the lower Zambezi at a fancy schmancy lodge with safaris & other stuff as well as the fishing and then maybe 2-4 days fishing upstream of Victoria Falls on the Zambian side of the river...if anybody that reads this message thinks that it sounds interesting please feel free to send me a mail or pm and I will get back to you with more details. Main fish targeted would be Tigerfish, Bream(Tilapia, Oreochromis, Serrannochromis spp.) and catfish - flyfishing is our main interest but for a lazy sunset afternoon with G&T or ale in hand there is also the option to do some drift baiting or "trolling" with fillet strip baits...I know i know...primitive...but often very effective! We will be between 6 and 8 people and the places we have in mind have at least three boats so it would be 2 or max 3 fishermen per boat...
Interested? Let me know.

April is a bit short notice for me workwise, but if you are planning on anything at the back end, or next year, then I can make a plan. Never caught a tiger on a fly, but it's my next goal in life ekse! Hamba gashle
