There would have been a big spread if that kid who looks like a cabbage patch kid / Chucky had been in the winning team, that's for sure.
I don't buy the magazines any longer, but would be disappointed if there wasn't a spread in one of them about the lads from Leven who won the AWFMI. That would be an interesting story and I would like to read about how those lads practiced etc. Those boys deserve some coverage I think.

Can't see that an article reporting how a team won this or that competition would be very relevant, after all, they are hardly going to give out all their trade secrets are they? All the reports on what flies and lines they were using can be believed with a massive pinch of salt. ;D

'Relevant' to what Ben?
I would just be keen to hear how they set about practicing - dividing the lake, the areas they hit hardest, left alone etc. Nobody who fishes comps would expect them to be dishing out their flies etc, it would just be nice to read their account of how they did it.

I agree with Dog you may not get the actual fly patterns, but after the fact I am sure teams wouldn't mind sharing how they approached the event and the methods they used to catch the fish. I would also enjoy seeing articles on how teams go about their business I think it would be very interesting and you may even learn something new. ;D

Dryflies,
I think he's trying to have a stab at the Brown Bowl winner! Shame that some one feels the need to have a pop a young competitior! There's not that many of them and they are the future of our sport, no matter which country they represent!

Three in my team - about to become four. Not a pop at anyone in particular, just kind of echoing some other thoughts on this thread!

Dryflies,
Maybe Dog has been on the sauce and can't control his keyboard or he's one of those few welsh people who carry a chip on their shoulder!!!!!
Dog,
Lighten up??? For f*cks sake! You have had a go at one of the most talented young anglers in the UK (and that includes wales) and I take exception to that!
What would have been your reaction if someone had a go at one of your 3 or 4 youngsters? Thought so!!!!!!!!
You are embarrasing your nation! Think before posting!!

Is this the lad who looks like he works in Burger King? Perhaps his team mates will chip in and buy him some shampoo
