Peter Appleby is the person to whom TF attributed the "Apps Bloodworm" pattern.
When I mentioned this last year, it was met with howls of derision and "who the f@ck is he ?". Well I think his team won ithis event last year as well, so he's obviously no mug, although not well known on the "International Rules" circuit.

It is a good comp and many of the good stillwater anglers enter. Big names in their own right. The winners go on to represent England to boot. There are probably more anglers that bank fish than the others and this is the comp for them. It is undergoing changes to make it seperate team and individual competitions. For next years comp E mail Alan.Tonge@agresso.co.uk If anyone reading wants their local water included in the eliminator stage then let Alan know. A condition would be that a certain amount of teams and individuals have to compete.

Good to hear that they are planning to split the team + individual events. By entering only as an individual I did feel slightly disadvantaged at each stage right through to the final. That said, it is still a good comp. It was my first go at competition fishing, and I'll be back next year!
Well done to Peter (Apps), he showed how good an angler he is in the final.
Terry.
P.s. anyone know where the full final placings are listed? Ed did mention they'd be going on a website but I wasn't sure if he meant the Elinor or ceff site.
