I am just getting involved in saltwater fly fishing and I would like to know if there is any good sport in or around Robin Hood's Bay from the beach? Any Bass, Mackarel, Pollack etc? What flies/tackle setup do people recommend? [glow=red,2,300]....ArcticFox....[/glow] The following link is my website. Please feel free to view it. Please note that it may look boring to you. I am just getting involved in Webpage Design, so it may take me a while to come to grips with it. It has some fishing stuff on it. members.fortunecity.com/arcticfox2005/

Whitby! Your best bet is to ring the tackle shop in Whitby, the lads in there are spot on and will help if they can!

There are plenty of good, deep, kelp filled gullies that you could get to on a low tide but it would be worth studying these for a day or two as every year people are rescued at Robin Hoods Bay after becoming cut off by the tide. My bet would be to get down there a couple of hours before low tide on a calm, Summer evening and go after the coalies that are prolfic around that way. A size 2 silver, flashabou type streamer should do the job. I gather its mainly a cod mark though.

Young 'un. On no account venture onto Morcambe Bay without a guide or you won't live to see Scotland win the World Cup.
It's bl00dy dangerous!
