Help!
Looking to start saltwater flyfishing in the summer. I live on Guernsey which has nice flat sandy beaches so i think this method would work well, and also be a lot of fun!
Could anyone point me in the right direction in the way of tackle?! Just a rod and reel. Weight 9/10 i guess and about 9 foot. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any good value beginner items they could possibly give me the URL to?
Thanks, Nick ;D

Nick
You're not alone!
There's a chap (who looks like a young Kenneth Connor ;D) who lives and SWFF's on Guernsey. He goes by the name of GB on this forum.
I do believe he is planning a move to the East Coast U.S - So he may part with a few marks before he goes, as he won't be needing them!
Good luck.

Hi Nick, welcome to the board, I will email you separately with some ideas but it is very worthwhile posting your questions on www.ukswff.com 's forum . there is a huge wealth of knowledge on there and most people - like Gonzo are immensely helpful. i would also recommend joining BASS - www.ukbass.com as their magazine often has articles on UKSWFF and bass fishing in general. we also have a number of younger members now too - Josh i think is one lad. you can find plenty of details on fishing in Guernsey on the www.anglersnet.co.uk forum and the www.fishingguernsey.com forum. i am quite happy to share marks with both locals and tourists as long as people promise to catch and release. i'll email you Nick when i get some time to something decent together. i have seen several other SWFFers out on both Guernsey and Herm and more and more members of the local Bass clubs are trying it. mark ( GB)
