I like the colour scheme in there. I recall years ago when the 'Baby Doll' was everything. I tied one in bright purple and it worked.

I really like the look of that!
Gerry, expect an order for blue deer hair real soon. It must have possibilities for some other patterns also. I'm seeing a Golden Olive bumble variant for starters.
Do you make the head with one stack of hair or more?

Gerry, expect an order for blue deer hair real soon. It must have possibilities for some other patterns also. You could always tie a few of these up.

I was shown this fly as a broonie killer by a mate of mines who is a regular orkney visitor (4 or 5 times a year) three or four years ago. i thought it was noocommon knowledge

I have had these listed on my site for about 4-5 years, only feedback I have has is from boys going to South Uist and Shetland. My original had deer belly dyed teal but it was to bright for my liking. Gerry

Very cool. It's nice to see some blue used in patterns for Browns.

It is good to see something different. Other than a few well documented patterns Teal Blue & Blue Zulu to name the two "popular ones" blue has never been a favourite colour for Brown Trout. Look at any pattern book & the colour blue does not predominate. Why I have no idea, maybe if more tried a "Blue Fly"...I don't know. Tight Lines

Do you make the head with one stack of hair or more? Gander The head was made with one stack, but if I think it needs a bit more I will ad a smaller bunch in front. Gerry
