Hi Drfrank,
I've fished been fishing at Bolton Abbey once a week for the last four weeks and whilst there was very little water in it I've been doing ok. However if I were you I'd maybe find somewhere else this weekend as the ENGLAND INTERNATIONAL TEAM SELECTION - YORKSHIRE REGION RIVER ELIMINATOR 2006 is being held there on Staurday 20th May. I understand that there are 24 anglers booked on and I should imagine that a fair few of these may be up there practising on Friday. So it may be a little overcrowded with anglers this weekend and possibly a wee bit overfished by Sunday. Now don't let me put you off as I really like fishing up there and have been averaging around six fish per trip, but maybe this weekend it may not be the place to go for a bit of peace quiet and solitude. Cheers Mick

Fishing its rocks off at the moment - small beetles being the food of choice - try a small black spider or a coch-y-bondu.
(Also avoid this Saturday)
It's got a little more water in at the moment following the recent rain.

Yorkshire Water has begun releasing large quantities of water from Grimwith Reservoir this morning in order to clean the filters so the river will be quite high and probably very peaty for the next few days due to this work.
