Just received a spool this morning of 14lb for salmon fishing - will let you know how I get on with it - it is much finer and much more supple than the 15lb fulling mill I have been using lately - I bought this fluoro because I have always found Berkley mono to be first class.

Yes (I've tried it). No (I haven't been convinced it's any better than copolymer mono).
I've used it for the last three years in varying strains. It is cheap for fluoro, Berkely are a good name, but - it seems thick for its breaking strain compared to other non-fluoro lines, and, more importantly, it seems to be prone to break under shock (i.e. smash takes). This is my impression, and it is one that several barbel anglers have of fluoro (no brands mentioned). Also, fluoro does not deteriorate the same way as mono, so any breakages will be around for a long time.
If you think it would be a good buy for you, try some - it may work for you. However, I am now a Stroft fan - low diameter, good stretch, and relatively clear in the water.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your feedback, guys. I think I'll invest in some to see what it is like. I suppose thats the best way.

I use it as kinda, how can i say this on a fly fishing website, but its the terminal leader on my non fly fishing orientated rods and I think its a pretty good flurocarbon, cheap has a good knot strength and doesnt tangle to easily
