Hi all I intend to catch a carp on the fly this year, so wondered about equipment I would need to "acquire". I think my local coarse club insist on unhooking mats, so apart from this ?? I have a 9ft 7wt which I intend to use with a Vision Koma reel so I think the rod and reel should be fine.
Cheers Dom

Hi Dom,
You may also need to get a new net. Most reputable places will be very specific about what you can use.
All the best,
Ben

A decent landing net - something with 36 inch wide arms should handle most of the fish you're likely to encounter. Going to be off on the first carp session of the year with the fly rod v soon.....that'll mean the weather will probably turn
