Hi,
I'm after some sources if anyone knows of some worth pursuing. I'm trying to source someone to tye a large order of pike flies; incporating modern materials and modern designs. I would prefer to go through an individual with some experience in the field, preferably one that someone can recommend and has used?
Please PM me or let me know on this thread if you have any suggestions.
Thanks.
TT.

Hi TT, without saying I am an expert I could tie you a couple of pike-flies... it depends how many you would need... I am no pro, but I tie most of my friends tackleshop flies... and a lot of them are pike flies.... being Dutch.... Just let me know, by PM or by mail: hansdrost@home.nl cheers, Hans.

J,
Love the flies, they're spot on. Depending on size, chub might like the mice.
Also, the photography looks as good as the flies. Keep it up.

My wee brother was bait fishing for pike and my nephew fly fishing for brown trout. When my brother decided to try a yellow fritz lure with the fly rod and see what would happen.
He got 1 at 4lb lost 1 he said was very substantial and a few other dunts.......he's for a real go soon will let you know how he gets on.

When I'm looking for pike, I don't hesitate : straight to a Guido Vinck's pattern, the famous "piker's point". 2/3 different colors, a few models tied upside down to avoid hooking the bottom. Used on a floating or sinking line those patterns are perfect to me : even tied on big hooks (6/0 for instance) they remain easy to send to a decent distance.
