Today I have had a really good chat with Seth at the Foundation. I must say that he has been very helpful. He has had no additional enquiries with regard to the beats that we have provisionally booked. So far so good. However the beats are only provisionally booked and I know that you are all desperate to send me money! There has been some talk of possibly reducing the beat day rates for these bookings. However the WyeUskFoundation act very much as the agent for the Riparian owners, and as such, do not set the rates. Frankly I am uncomfortable asking Seth to petition the landowners on our behalf. There is however a likelihood that there may be some vouchers for the Roving scheme on offer – how these can be fairly distributed is anyones guess – moonlight casting competitions?!
So the day rates are as follows……
Doldowlod @ £15
Cefnllysgwynne @ £14
Ty-Newydd @ £15
So please calculate what you owe and get ready to pay! PM me for my address or, if you prefer, Paypal payment is possible. Please note that I will only be paying for the block booked beats. So if you are going to fish elsewhere you will either need to book it and pay for it separately, or organise your own vouchers.
And finally we can fish into the gloaming if we want. However some of the wading is quite treacherous and the Wye can be very dangerous in the dark. Please let me know if you have any questions.
All the best,
Ben

Hello All,
Quick update, because there has been an administrative error, i.e. I have f@cked up. The website indicates that the daily charge for Ty-Newydd is £15/day. However the Foundation brochure has a price of £20/day. Guess which is right!
For those few that have already paid I am happy to swallow the additional cost. For all others I am afraid that you will have to pay at the revised rate. I will post a full list of those coming and what you all owe later on today.
All the best,
Ben
