Who fancy's a day or two on Loch Ba in the scottish highlands, fantastic fishing, beautiful scenery and free If you watch the march issue of TFF I have done and article in there on Loch Ba for the magazine. It is a magical place and full of wild brown trout, and witht he likes of Glencoe in your view they were right to name it gods country I will sort it out, if needs must collect people from the airport and we can make this an excellent outing. If we want to do a Friday/Saturday job camping or hotlel ? I am open to suggestions but I am more than happy to take a group of you guys up to a special place to me right balls rolling input please Cheers dave

The May dates look attractive cos their is an angling fair in Kelso in April.

I would suggest that we go for the camping option as it then remains a realitively cheap couple of days (I can then spend more money on flies ) I can pick up from Falkirk area or on the way up. cheers paul

Buzz, it is open to anyone on the forum I will hav eto look at the dates etc.. as early would be better rather than later as really you want overcast with a breeze. Muddler fishing is fantastic, wait till you read my article in this months TFF and then tell me if you fancy it Cheers Dave

Dave.
The May dates look good (28th is my birthday). However, I'm joining the fire service this month and my training doesn't finish until 12th May. Also, I won't know what station I'll be at, or what shifts I'll be on until much nearer the time I won't be able to commit just now. I'll take a look at that article though.

Dave, I osted a reply on the other thread but count me in on this, as long as in back onshore then i'll definately be there. Iinteresting point about the muddlers, i remember taking some lovely fish out of Ba using a big hoolet moth in the gloaming/dusk, rattling it throught the wind lanes with a decent wave on, bliss ;-)

Dave count me in as long as the date does not clash with my prelims on loch Awe . From experience which is a lot on the Ba, keep it to the May date its not all that good in April dont forget how high you are up, its still the middle of winter then. The Hailish ( probably not the right spelling but thats how we always pronounced it , i could go and look it up but my maps are up the stairs i'm quite sure some smarty pants will correct me ) is also very good . There will be some cheap accomodation in Tyndrum if you want to make it a two dayer.
