Wow what a cracker! It's amazing T.P. caught a fish, I heard she never lets those flies leave her box! ;D ;D Anyway she told me that the long car journeys and listening to the great wisdom of the Dee Mafia Dons has finally paid off and she's learnt enough to catch something. ;D Of course that wouldn't be possible without her occasionally reluctant fly sponsors (Tango - you really must stop giving her the flies in your box that actually catch fish! ;D). Heard that the Mad One caught a wee one, which he thought was so good he took a photo and then did a text message mail shot to all his mates. They both agreed it was some type of midget strain ( ) of grayling but they couldn't be sure as the zoom on the photo wasn't that great! ;D Can't wait for more pictures! ;D Spy 0

Well, we had a whale of a time, and Spy0 had a whale! If it were a national the Welsh thrashed the rest of the UK, with outstanding results from the Don, Spy1, Spy0 and the Teifi Terrorist (or Bin highlighted!) To be fair i have never seen anything like Gwilym, Steffan and Bugsy's angling prowess in my life! The river was on song, i had 5 fish, with only one under 2lbs (and only an ounce or two under!) One was not far off the 3lb mark. There were some outstanding specimens caught, and Spy0's fish was a 'fish of a lifetime' Some photos! Underwood with his 1st Dee fish Lighthouse into a fish Happy or what! Lighthouse 2 3/4lber Teifi Terrorist (he had 10 in 2hrs sunday morning!) Bugsy into a cracker and another....(it went on!) My biggy Back where she belongs Have you ever seen such a beautiful fish? Many thanks to Bugsy & Spy1 for the trip, which for most turned out to be a belter....as lighthouse said 'i think i've just died and gone to heaven' and not forgetting the Corwen beauty i met last night, shame she turned out to be a illicit substance dealer? Diolch y fawr! Hoppy

Tango they're great flies but between giving them away and sending them off to catch tree trout, I'm not surprised you're the one losing out! ;D Needless to say I had a fantastic time this weekend. Thank you Spy 1 and Bugsy for organising another social so soon. As my new alter ego has mentioned already, thank you to all for fly donations and particularly Tango for the bag of dodgy looking powder , the fly tying help and of course breakfast. I'm sure one of the Dons will give a full run down on the catch report, but it was quite the weekend for grayling (in fact he wasn't very happy at all with the results! ;D). Who needs an open season, when the closed one can be this good! T.P. P.S. Like my signature? ;D, I promise I won't wallow too long!
