observer.guardian.co.uk/magazine/story/0,11913,982400,00.html This URL provoked a thread by Paul Boote on the old forum. It points to an article in the Guardian about Ingrid Newkirk, the founder and head of PETA. In the absence of the estimable Mr Boote I am re-posting here as it offers a real insight into the thinking of the antis. Ms Newkirk does not try to disguise her hatred of the human race, she openly states that .. "the world would be an infinitely better place without humans in it at all" ... and that she had herself sterilised at the age of 22 because ... "'I am not only uninterested in having children. I am opposed to having children. Having a purebred human baby is like having a purebred dog; it's nothing but vanity, human vanity" It can't be long until the world realises that PETA is not really pro-animal as much as it is anti-people. Have a read. Russ.

"Having a purebred human baby is like having a purebred dog; it's nothing but vanity, human vanity"
What is the alternative to a purebred human baby? Should we all be having sex with animals to see if we can make half-human hybrid babies?
I know PETA members profess to love animals, but I didn't realise their love ran that deep!

You should have a look at their web site. Scary stuff indeed!! They want kids to throw stones in the water to scare fish away from anglers and to blow whistles and hings like that. I had a rather interesting email conversation with the person from peta who answers emails. Very polite and was adamant that one day fishing would be banned!
