news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/3014562.stm Where is Paul Boote? Hedgehogs Pah the Thurso Radioactive Rabbits will take the South Uist Hedgehogs anyday. Rabbits burrow into Dounreay Rabbits have been burrowing into radioactive waste pits Managers at Dounreay have been ordered to stop rabbits from entering radioactive waste pits at the nuclear plant in Caithness. Has no one got an air rifle in Caithness, I wonder if I could get a £10 000 000 contract to get rid of the rabbits

Frohttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/3018266.stmm the other end of the country, Seagull-attacked posties cover up Dive-bombing birds have carried out a spate of attacks Postmen and women in an Ayrshire town have been issued with protective headgear and are carrying sticks after attacks by dive-bombing seagulls. It is claimed the birds - which are a protected species - have been attacking people, staging noisy fights in the early hours of the morning and soiling cars and buildings
I would disagree about them being a protected species as they appear on the general licence section 16(1)(d) countryside act 1981

Mind you, I have also found that the protected ones protection does not seem to work if you hit them hard enough

I can't remember seeing Thurso on the "Axis of evil list", but radioactive rabbits might be thought of as weapons of mass destruction.
Be afraid Thurso, be very afraid.
Also, before you start taking pot shots at them, you may want to check out the new "Incredible Hulk" movie. Thats what radioactivity can do you know!

Roy, I think I have some zonkers which use radio active bunny strips. I imagine the reason they don't work is due to the radioactiveness and not the ghastly colour.

I can get black zonkers to work, especially if I attach a maggot to the bend of the hook. I have found the red dyed maggots to work best on the rainbows. I am unsure if the colour of the Zonker matters.
